Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - awesome idea for an additional challenge this week at
The Bright Owl! I had a lot of fun with this one - the idea was to incorporate contrast of some sort. I used a lot of my favourite tangles, however I varied them up so that there is a distinct difference from one side to the other. I really like how it turned out - one side is delicate and light, the other is heavy and dark. I only shaded the lighter side because I think the dark side was intense enough.
Anywho, lots of fun! Thanks for stopping by :)

Love it! Great idea to vary the patterns in this way.
ReplyDeleteGreat contrast between the two sides. Nice job on the shading. Interesting that we both used Shattuck in the same place, but looks very different because of the way we each did ours.
ReplyDeleteWow! The white side looks so delicate and the black is so bold and graphic.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking Zendala, so very neat and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteОчень эффектное решение задачи! Тонкая графика и мощный контраст в одном и том же узоре - красиво выполнено!
ReplyDeleteThe contrast gives the patterning a whole new look!
ReplyDeleteThe idea of varying the patterns is great. That is an idea for my sketch book.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beatifull challenge i realy enjoy all the drawings!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful zendala! The gorgeous variations of the tangles make both sides so oposed! Great job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! I love Paradox when it is so bold.
ReplyDeleteVery elegant and expressive. I almost like the fine line version better though both versions work well.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this one. A definite difference between the two sides.
ReplyDeleteWow, great opposites. The white site looks so delicate and soft and nice, loving, and the dark site really looks bad and evil. Great outcome of the challenge in this dare.
ReplyDeleteI really love the contrast here. Like Didisch said, the white is so soft and delicate and the dark gives that aura of intensity that comes with bad. Well done.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, and I love how you have demonstrated that tangles can have such a different feel with thicker darker lines.... Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteLove your work and all of the details! Great balance and really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBe creative and catch some happy!
